Select the surface and run Edit > Show pts to turn on control points, then you'll be able to move surface points around.

If you have an object made up of many trimmed surfaces that are joined together, you need to use Edit > Separate to break them apart into separate individual surfaces first before you'll be able to turn on their points, some more info on that here:
