Michael, is it possible to some how mark normal directions? May be some script that will color surfaces with 2 different colors to show direction?

Yep, would be very useful to know which surfaces have flipped the wrong way in their creation.

I end up doing quite a bit of mesh flipping in modo to sort out the problem areas.

Hello,

That's a bad idea.

Except if it has been fixed in 801, flipping poly in modo doesnt flip the vertex normal, giving some funky result when rendering the model.
Better to let the surface in double side mode for now in the shadertree (until we can control the normal direction in MoI).

There isn't really any way set up to do it currently, it is something I want to add in the future though probably with some kind of display mode option.

It needs stuff implemented for it deep in the display mechanism, it's not really possible for it to be done by script only.
