V3 is getting close, but I still don't have a precise final date set yet. I'm still right now in the process of wrapping up the final v3 beta release.
Wouldn't it be possible/practical to make the last beta v3 a public rc v3 release? That would more or less obviate the need for a grace period and potential buyers/lurkers/upgraders(from 1) could indulge in the full tool set, rather than using the quite dated v2 trial.
