Hi Rich,
In MoI it's called 'Sweep' which is under the 'Construct' toolbar, http://moi3d.com/2.0/docs/moi_command_reference7.htm#sweep

Hi Rich, yeah it sounds like you're looking for Construct > Sweep, it's covered in the 6-legged pod video here: http://moi3d.com/2.0/docs/tutorials.htm

You can sweep one profile along several curves by using "auto place" mode, that's where you place the profile curve flat on the construction plane and outside the bounding box around the path curve, that will make sweep automatically move and rotate the curve onto the end of the curve before sweeeping it.

So for example if you have a profile and several path curves like this:

Start with the profile selected and then run Construct > Sweep. That will then make a result like this:

One thing to note is that if you have 2 path curves used it will do what's called a "2 rail sweep" which stretches the profile between the 2 curves rather than following around each one separately. If you have 3 or more paths selected it will do a one-rail sweep along each one of them.

Great thanks - yeah I was having difficulty with how the orientation of the profile relates to the sweeps...I think I just have to have a play around!

Cheers guys!
