I was wondering how the name would seem to someone from France.

Does it seem strange, or is it ok?

One problem with the name is that there are many different pronunciations, I've heard people say "moi" as in the French, or spelled out as individual letters "Em - O - Eye", or as "moai".

I kind of prefer the latter, because that is also the name of those giant statues on Easter Island, so I thought that one of those makes for a nice logo with a sort of play on words.

In french "moi" sound like a "short flat sound" just -m' oi - (in english sound like inside whouah if exist )
Better if you ear it like "moy" more exotic sound for a frenchy exactly like in the english word "toy" :)
The only french word with this same sound is monoi (vegetal oil from Tahiti :)

But when a frenchy read moi he can't ear moi !)
So only the world celebrity will be make that :)
I make publicity for that ! Moy moy moy :)

Seems I can't write the i "dieresis" in the system of forum :(
so I had writed Moy for the sound :)

As pilou said, in french we read MoI : "moa"
Thats why i alwayz write MoI (for moment of inspiration)

For french ppl sounds pretty wird to say "i did it with moi"
"je l'ai fait avec moi" meaning "i did it with myself"

Anywayz its funny i think, i like it :)

i imagine a talk on a french forum:
Q:which software you used?
A:myself

>_<
