Hello Michael and all,

i have a little question regarding points in MoI. Since i often work with points in MoI is it possible, via a little script, to show all coordinates of a clicked point when working in the 3D Window? This would come in really handy for me. Currently MoI shows at the bottom x and y coordinates and z=0 when working in the 3D Window.

Best regards
Stefan

Hi Stefan, if you're in selection mode the XYZ control will only show you the current point on the construction plane.

If you're in a drawing mode like in any drawing command, that's then when object snaps can be active and that's when you'll see points on actual objects.

So if you want to get the kind of points you want, you need to start up any drawing command (like the line command for example), and then move the mouse around while in that drawing command with object snap enabled.

Depending on the structure of the entities you need the info from, there IS a script which will label curve point data, either weighted or on points.
