Hello,

I want to draw the catamaran shown on the attached pictures. I'd like to use sweep.

I have been playing with sweep and loft but I was not able to create the nose of the hull. How does this work?

Yep, trying to finish off the tips of airfoil shaped objects has always been a problem in MoI.

The latest beta's of V3 have the ability to loft to point which should solve the problem for you.

Add a point to the nose of the hull and loft between your cross sections. You may need to add more cross sections in the nose area close to the point to get it to give you the desired shape.

If normal loft isn't giving you desired results, try the samardac method of loft, loose, exact.

Import this nose piece into your hull file and see if you like the looks of it...

Hi Simba,
try this
1)I have added a scaling rail to give a smoother finish.
2) have used less of the cross sections.
3) trimmed the sweeped section to remove small distortion at nose.
4) mirrored and then blended the two halves.
Hope this helps.
