Looks great eric! Is it really going to be a sushi + burger combined place? I'm not sure that I've ever seen that particular kind of restaurant before, is that something special for Canadian sushi? ;)

Hi Michael ..

Yes, this little cafe has been doing well for the last couple of years and now has a new owner. I have not personally had a meal there yet but some patrons I met while doing the measuring say it it the best cafe in town. Apparently the sushi is not traditional but is about 60% of the business. I'll try it soon.

I'm with Michael that is a weird combo, is it Sushi Burgers that their offering or Sushi and Burgers?

EDIT: It's okay I just zoomed in on the sign, Sushi AND burgers, now I'm picturing a clean cut Japanese Sushi chef in a nice white buttoned up uniform next to an unshaven guy on the grill with a blue tank top, hair net and sweating :)

Well, it is pretty unique.

A couple of years ago the place was called 'Funky Monkey' and I heard that they served some pretty good burgers and fries along with a variety of beer. Another owner came along who had been to a sushi school so he combined the two menus and changed sushi to his own recipes and did well at it. The new owner wants to continue with the same menu ... though he is thinking of adding a hot dog cart outside for the summer months. The location is on the main highway and it is a tourist area so that could work, too. No Wasabi burgers yet but I will pass the suggestion along :)
