Last year I tried to work on real car prototype project, but I had no advance tools to finish it.I gave my best to create it with moi3d,but as industrial designers says for more advanced surfacing modeling you need more advanced and expensive tools, and be more skilled too.I realized it was a huge bite for me,so I decided to create a 3d printable car toy concept with modern and futuristic lines for 3d printing which I sell on online 3d markets. Here is my solid achievement, but I still believe I can create more realistic car prototype with moi3d.Model rendered in blender3d 2.69 with cycles render.I will keep trying, when ever I'm inspired to create my concepts with nurbs tools.Until then enjoy my car toy.

Thank you Michael,I'm glad you like my concept car.I will keep trying and learning. Now I learn sketching on graphic tablet,to find better automotive ideas. My aim is to combine my sketching,sub-d and nurbs skills in to final presentation.

My sketching skills on link below

Nurbs tools are more engineer tools,so it is much heavy to work with, but there is more challenge when you must think a lot.Thanx again for creating awesome and affordable software MOI3d.

Nice work. Could work well as a McLaren, the colour helps. I actually find it much easier to 'think' in NURBS, especially for cars like this. It's much harder to get such elegant or consistent curvature if you're using mesh modellers. You just have to plan ahead a little bit about where and when you cut into the volumes.

Thanx Nick for your nice comment about my work.I'm glad you like it.With nurbs tools, you need more patience for details, and a lots of planning ahead as you said. And yes the precision of the sub-d tools, can't compare with nurbs modeling. That is why NURBS is the standard in professional industrial design prototyping. At least it was, when I worked as packaging designer.I had to learn to model PET bottles with Rhinoceros 3d,cause the data exchanging with inventor and precision.I created interesting designs with blender3d,with awesome renderings, but that knowledge was useful, just in case realistic rendering, nothing else. Then I saw that everything I see around me mostly product designs, are mostly created with nurbs tools like rhinoceros3d.When I saw the posibilites and precision, then I promised myself I will invest in something similar in the future. When I saw MOI3d how it is easy, and gives awesome results I wanted it.I worked on one automotive design project several years ago, created in blender3d.My client asked me how I want to be paid.I realized moi3d will be the good and affordable investment for the future,so I told my client i want moi3d for my design work. Now I'm giving my best when ever I have spare time to learn to work with nurbs tools.I sell my models on 3d stock markets, and I tried to create mobile phones and sell it,but there are not to much buyers for ngons and 3dm files.Maybe this is the main reason, why I stopped to practice more on creating my 3d models with moi3d.Also I worked on several freelance unsecure jobs, and lost my will for it.Now I'm trying with 3d printable toys to see,if there will be more luck.My problem is I'm spreading to much on sketching concepts with graphic tablet,sub-d modeling,3d animation as my job,and everything like learning nurbs needs a lots of time and practicing.I will keep trying.

Hi Ron,

Thanx for your nice comment about my work. When I started many many years ago I watched cars from car magazines and tried to draw them.Never finished design school, just secondary for carmechanic.I never gave up from my dreams, even there were pressures to give up from my family and my enviroment.I learned to model my 3d models from the end,and now I'm learning the basics.Cause of the lack of proper education I learned everything on very hard way.Check out my interview on link below,I hope it will inspire you to chase your dream,as my story inspired many beginnners. You have internet and use it for learning and realizing your dreams. If I had internet and computer softwares when I started to design cars,I could accomplish much much more.Even now when I'm 38 years old, believe in my dream and it is powerful force which drives forward.
