Is it any script that works like pipe script but make rectangle not tube?
And how to draw rectangle from center on the end of curve to make it perpendicular?

Hi Andrei,

> Is it any script that works like pipe script but make rectangle not tube?

I don't know of any special script for that, but you can just draw a rectangle and use the regular Sweep command to make a result like that.

Hi Andrei,

> And how to draw rectangle from center on the end of curve to make it perpendicular?

You can either set the CPlane using View > Cplane and snap on to the end of the line, or also if you drag out 2 crossing construction lines from the end that will then form a snap plane aligned to those construction lines for just that pick, see here:

Here's an example for how to place the construction lines - note how when you make 2 construction lines that have a common start point, that will then orient the rectangle when the center of it is snapped on to that same start point:

It's also some easy with the Command Orient! ;)

A little training is necessary but after is candy sugar :)

Center of the rectangle is given automatically!

But also if you are using Sweep, you can instead use "Auto place" mode which will automatically move and rotate your planar profile curve to be perpendicular to the start of the rail curve. Autoplace mode is activated if you have a profile curve that is flat on a viewport's plane and is outside the bounding box of all the rail curves, like this:

The key thing is to make sure the profile is a little ways away from the rails to activate this mode - it must be outside of the bounding box around the rails. If it is nearby the rails then sweep will not automatically position the profile.

So if you select the profile as shown above, then run Construct > Sweep and select all the rails, you will get a result like this:

Michael, bye the way, why I can not make chamfer in this situation? When set mesure by one side it works but when by onother or set it manualy it does not work.

Hi Andrei, chamfers or fillets tend to have problems if an entire face or edge is completely consumed away in order to make room for the new piece, as you're trying to do in that case.

For something like that you'd be better off constructing with a triangle to start with rather than a rectangle shape.
