Here is my latest MOI3D work for Retro Raygun, the Robot Legion! Buzz, beep, whirl...










Exported from MOI3D and imported into Octane Render where I used placement nodes to create the instances / copies.

The instances worked great. I'd never used them before. I had over 100 robots without any change in memory usage.

The other addition that I really like is adding the bloom and glare effects around the glowing eyes. That is adjusted without affecting the render progress so you can fiddle with the glow and glare without making the render start over. Very efficient.

There will be three or four more robots in the army. I'll post those when I get make the "family portrait."
