Hi,

sorry, again its a longer time I have not used MOI.
So my question:
Is there a command to get 4 Points in 3D "planar" so
that I can make a surface with the "planar"-command?

Or is there another workaround?

thanks
Mike

Polyline ?

But you will not sure that your 4 points are really in a same plan !
So take care to the message "on surface" before click a point of the polyline!
Else Plan has a chance to miss to close the surface!

Hi Mike,

If you draw the 4 points with the polyline or curve commands and use one of the 2D views (Top/Front/Right) when drawing it, it will then be planar right off the bat.

But if you have a non-planar curve and you want to edit it to become planar, the easiest way for that tends to be using the "flat" snap of the edit frame. To use that, select the things you want to planarize and then switch to a side view, like if you want them to be planar in the top then switch to the front or right view. Then grab one corner grip of the edit frame and drag it towards the line until you see the "flat" snap engage, here's an example:

Another method is to create a plane (Draw solid > plane) and then use that plane as the projection target object with the Construct > Curve > Project command.

If you're still stuck, could you please post the 3DM model file with the stuff in it that you're trying to planarize?
