Look, the modeling is great, but the render I think you should improve it. It looks flat! However nice job.

Thanks wastzzz ...

Yes, I would like to improve my renderings. I am never really completely happy with them. But, I think I would need another rendering tool and some time to get proficient with it.

I am trying to find the right combination of budget, tools that will produce good looking trees and high quality renderings and enough time to develop my skills.

I run a small but active one person architectural practice and my clients are happy with what they see but I don't think of myself as a pro when it comes to rendering and I don't put enough energy and time in that direction.

I do welcome suggestions about programs that are not too pricey, have a good set of canned materials including trees and shrubs to enhance architectural imagery. I have Octane and Sim Lab but usually fall back on Flamingo NxT as I am more familiar with it than the others in spite of its pros and cons and slow development.

cheers,
eric

Hi eric, I don't think that most rendering programs have much of a focus on making it easy to include vegetation... So you may not really have a whole lot of other options really.

One thing that could fit though is Vue by E-on software: http://www.e-onsoftware.com/products/solutions/?page=architecture

That particular program has a lot of focus on generating natural scenes and vegetation, if nice looking trees that can be set up easily is a big priority then you might want to check that particular one out.

If you have octane, you should use it. In our office we own both octane and vray, and for works like that octane works better. Download some free 3d plants and make yourself a little library with ready-to-use trees with octane materials!

Nice clinic Eric!

Reminds me of Frank Lloyd Wright in a way.
