Recorders

A few days without doing anything in MoI, and I had to get back to it today, creating quite a lifelike model of a recorder. It's not accurate enough that a 3D printed model would be perfectly in tune - I didn't make the measurements accurate enough for that, and nor did I take into account the fact that the bore probably isn't entirely conical in shape, but that aside, I think it looks the part, as well as being another good exercise in MoI modelling.

I made a simple, Renaissance style one, here in zebrawood, though with Baroque holes and bore as I was modelling both on the same instrument. The Baroque one is in Rio Rosewood with figured sycamore Trimmings - All wood textures from veneers I've scanned.

@Pilou - it is rendered in Keyshot.

@Michael - Thanks. Again, MoI makes the job relatively easy while still being challenging enough for someone of my 3D skill level to learn even more from it.

@Wastzzz - Thank you
