And this Javascript: http://threejs.org/ (to see absolutly).

I look this page a long time, imagining my models instead of this cart.

Ya, but what version? $500? A plugin for Rhinoceros 3D? ...
Question: "Is a plugin for Rhinoceros 3D, can to be use with MoI 3D?"

For example, look this little viewer in 3D WebGL with JavaScript & Three.js: http://adndevblog.typepad.com/cloud_and_mobile/2013/06/3d-webgl-viewer-with-javascript-and-threejs.html. It uses .JSON file; & so, how we can make a .JSON file? I don't know for the moment.

I look for, to built a website, to mount an own personal, by himself, 3D galery HTML pages, as we write HTLM pages with a wisiwig editor. I would something with the rendering of Swift 3D; beautiful vectorial, vector rendering as Flash's reader, cartoon, Belgian clear-line.

In fact, any 3D software is a 3D viewer to display a 3D simulation in 2D, or 2D1/2 images on a screen. We can think also to a WebGL-CMS.
But don't talk any CLOUD = CLAUDE, Boîteuse, Benoît, Tartuffe, Sly. I know the Letters, its roots senses; see: http://www.etymonline.com/index.php

Hi Bard,

You can't use a plug-in for Rhino in MoI.

But Simlab also has a regular "standalone" version, it's not just a Rhino plugin only.

Bore da, Bonjour Michael,

I known the answer.
But you puzzled, or confused me, with your interest for Simlab. Do you work for them?
I don't like anymore their renderer, nor the manner to rule, or set, the textures in dialog boxes not enough user-friendly. These 2 points stop me to give a good note to Composer; and I don't appreciate at all a trial version so limited in time, and no possibility to see what renderings we can make with Simlab composer. It requires also too much memory to run well, on a PC that I don't want to change to satisfy the capital of Microsoft, and others big-brothers.

But you could, if you please to you, to develop a plugin for MoI to authorize a rendering in WebGL/HTML + Three.js. I Will buy it certainly if the rendering is like in Flash, or same displaying that we see on our screens when we model under MoI.

I regret really to be so null in programmation, to don't have the power to make any application, or plugin, because it's hard to find what I want, as exacting Artist, Poët, Designer, good Archer (bowman) & not so bad rider (horse & bike).

Good MoI (product which I give the better note of the World)

You don't want to "...change to satisfy the capital of Microsoft, and others big-brothers." but you want a software developer to spend time making something so you don't have to spend a little money?

Wouldn't this be doing the very thing that you are accusing Microsoft and the other big brothers of?

mjs : Does fly, be-it honey, knows to make a tasty honey?

Why you don't answer about WebGL/ 3D Viewer on line, rather to extract a small portion of a justified critical?

Where do you see the verb "accuse", there is no accusation nowhere, but an expressive form about real mercantile markets. Do you know what is a manner to speak, with half-humour half-critic sense? Since when, a critic want it to accuse? Just wrote, to put a flea at the ear (in English = to give a clue, or set to think)

My english is perhaps not really acute, but yours is not very well writing to ease its comprehension.
And, who told you to have a eye on? (as we said at home).

A link to a 3D viewer: http://code.google.com/p/jsc3d/
This one very interesting, displays a whole city (very heavy to load) : http://www.esri.com/software/cityengine/features
An other very attractive, but a plugin have to be installed : http://www.turntool.com/

This one Russian from AlternativaPlatform is closed to the look of MoI (to see absolutly same if it's a little slow to load the page): http://a3dplayer.com/
And you can save for free all your 3dmodel in SWF (with no colours) to show on the web. GREAT!

I don't find a converter .OBJ --> .JSON; may be you know an utility program that runs, to do that?

Hello,

I just saw a demo of VSR Realtime Renderer for Rhino (plugin). The software is around 800€ to purchase but the output looks very nice.

Hi Bard,

> But you puzzled, or confused me, with your interest for Simlab. Do you work for them?

Nope, I don't work for them. I've just heard from many MoI users that like Simlab and use it along with MoI.

Since I've heard from many people that like it and use it with MoI, when someone asks about it I'm just relaying that information along.

> But you could, if you please to you, to develop a plugin for MoI to authorize a rendering in WebGL/HTML + Three.js.

It takes quite a bit of time to develop such things, and my time is very limited in supply... Maybe I could develop this in the future but it will probably be quite a while.

Meanwhile your best bet is to use an already existing solution that can get the job done.

Also it looks like there is an OBJ format converter that is part of Three.js already, so you should be able to save models out from MoI in OBJ format (probably do not use N-gons) and then use the OBJ converter to get your model ready for use with Three.js, see "How to use OBJ converter script" here: https://github.com/mrdoob/three.js/wiki

Hi Bard,

For Three.js I found one right on their FAQ page on their wiki:
https://github.com/mrdoob/three.js/wiki

.JSON is just a way of storing general Javascript data values, so you need not just a .JSON converter but also one that will use the particular formatting of the display engine code that you're trying to use.

Hello Mickael,

Yes, I understand.

That I see now, it's 3d reader in Flash (.swf) faster than any 3d viewer with Three.js, same if that runs with an swfobject.js

I suppose the choice depend on we want to do: games, interactive 3d space, gallery, demo machine for industrial, etc.

The russians of AlternativaPlatform give something very interesting, very fluid: http://a3dplayer.com/
Yes, there are documentations on their site: http://alternativaplatform.com/en/technologies/alternativa3d/.
Otherwise this solution in Flash for a 3D Web gallery is a good sign.

I go round the World (Wide Web).

Good MoI.

Due to my ignorance, I did a google search with: "webgl 3d model viewer"
There are a few "how-to-do's," but they do not work with IE9, as far as I can tell...

"Note that you will need a WebGL-enabled browser, eg Chrome, Firefox, Safari 5, Opera 12."

"All you need is a browser that supports WebGL. (Sorry IE and iOS users.)"

Hello Bemfarmer,

Yes for the browser. All runs very well with FireFox 25, no need the Chrome of Google.
But I advise you the Torch browser, it's the same browser here: http://www.torchbrowser.com/

An other link to make these 3d web experiences (all free but not good) : http://ts4.us/tools/3dviewer-flash.html

From Activeden, good, very small price, very fluid : http://activeden.net/item/3d-object-viewer/116372

Today I read that Internet Explorer 11 "supports webGL."

Using version 11, for quite a lot of web pages, I am unable to do "page / save as" any longer.

I wonder if this 3d model viewer program will now work under windows 7 Internet Explorer 11?
