Does colors are supported by Step format?

Here I have imported the volume from this Crazzy Solvespace inside Moi
But seems there is no color in Moi
The orange follow colors are added by me, original file imported shown only the default color of Moi!

Hi Pilou, most STEP files don't have any color information in them. There are 2 different varieties of STEP file: AP 203 and AP 214. The AP 203 variation doesn't have any mechanism in it to transfer color information (if I remember correctly), and that's what format your particular STEP file is using.

If there is a way to set SolveSpace to write out AP 214 type STEP files, maybe that will work, but I'm not quite sure if the STEP import library that MOI uses picks up those attributes in AP 214 type files or not. The AP 203 type file (with no color support) tends to be the most often used I think.

I tested your same STEP file going into Rhino and ViaCAD and only default colors are shown in those programs as well.

So I believe that's just a common limitation with STEP format in general.

Just tested a file exported out as step 203 and 214 as you mentioned Michael colour information is not retained in 203 however body colour is retained with 214, what I mean about body colour is, I changed the overall colour of a body to red then proceeded to change individual surfaces other colours but only an all red body imported into MoI.
