I’m having trouble making a surface using 5 curves. I tried loft, rail and network with no success. Any suggestions? File attached

Thanks
Ricardo

Hi Ricardo, often times it can be good to make a larger 4 sided surface and then cut off some portion of it with trimming to make the final 5 sided outline rather than trying to directly surface to 5 different edges right from the start.

In your case here you've got a significant change in shape in a very small area here and that makes it kind of unclear what sort of overall shape you're trying to have:

Hi Ricardo, so possibly something like extend things by the the red areas here, then you build a sweep or network through that now 4sided region and then cut it at the blue line using Trim to produce your 5 sided final shape:

There is a lot of variation in your different curves here though, you will probably need to draw in several more cross sections to be used for the sweep or network to control the shape more, it will likely misbehave and tend to fold back over itself if you try to just directly use such different shaped ends as the only things being used to created the surface.

Ideally you'd try to have an even larger and more regular shape and trim away even more of it than just that little extended area, it's easier to create a better quality surface the more regular the outline is, big differences in shapes between opposite ends and lots of swooping around in tight spots does not make for good quality surface construction...
