zarkow -

I'm always impressed with your use of aged metal textures.

Did you make your own bump/normal map for the engraved detail in the large circular area of the body?

This are only Vray Bumpmaps, generated out of good photos.

How is it possible to get the 3D Isolines(Splines) from Moi to Cinema4d, someone an idea?

Hi Zarkow,

> How is it possible to get the 3D Isolines(Splines) from Moi to Cinema4d, someone an idea?

You might try using DXF format, with the option set at export time to make polylines. I'm not sure but C4D may be able to import that.

Another option that might work is this plug-in: http://www.rhino.io/ - that adds 3DM file import into Cinema4D. It doesn't work for bringing in solids and surfaces from MoI since it only reads render mesh data for those kinds of objects, but it says that it also supports splines so it might work for that.

Now I know, Cinema4D can Import IGES by Default, I have never try this before. Now I can Render the Isolines with the Sketch and Toon RenderEngine :-)
