The shell of the chopper looks great Andrei

Just one question, did you manage to keep all your cross sections (for lofting) with equal number of points ?

Thanx)

Yes in most cases I try to keep the same amount of points. After I made object with loft, I start last stage where I make all curves with the same amount of points and align all points. To make surface perfectly smooth. In video I accidentally do not record this stage. I hope I'll make tutorial soon.

Hi Andrei

I think you might consider making the front winglet a different way. Probably as a separate piece to the fuselage with a lofted blend.

The front and rear of the winglet has lost its airfoil shape when lofted with the fuselage which makes it look quite blocky.

I hope my observation helps you when you present the model to the client.

Thanks for the response regarding number of points. I assume you just use the add point command or select a point and hit the delete key till they are all equal.

kevjon,

Yep, I'll try to fix it. I tried to make it with loft and blend but do not like result, if you will watch video you will see it. Looks like I just have to tune a bit profiles of loft to make wings more round.

Yes I just add/delete points.

Continue to keep seams as few as possible. This time used a lot of revolve.

Hay people!
Model is finished - about 16 hours of work!

Total amount of edges is 3075. So small amount of edges allows me to work during all project with: Mesh angle - 10 and Add detail to inflection - ON.

Some details:

As you can see all edges are smooth no need for fillet at all, it is result of using LOFT, Rail Revolve and Revolve. I used fillet in this model only where I connected surfaces. A lot of times I used BLEND it works REALLY great!

And shaded view:

As you can see on shaded view it looks perfectly smooth!

Now time for Painting!
