That's really cool that they're considering a version for 3D printing.

What kind of additional integration between MoI and 3D Coat would you like to see? Since 3D Coat works on a much different kind of data than MoI, it's pretty difficult to do any bidirectional communication and it seems that 3D Coat has a good OBJ reader.

Now I can see only MOI to 3D Coat export automation. But it will skip only few steps. Can not figure out something more.

I mean if there is not any problem with the data transfer currently a plug-in isn't going to be solving any major problem.

If it only skips the steps of just doing a single menu pick in 3D Coat, that's probably a lot of work involved to save a very small amount of time.

If the integration gave some kind of benefit that you just could not do with the current file export, that would then be of more benefit and things that deliver more benefit tend to be better things to spend time on.
