Tracing lines from a picture is easy enough as long as the image is planar (not sure if this is the right word in this context). For an image like the one below?

Wondering if there is a way to tilt the construction plane, but keep the photo planar to the screen. Then redraw the perspective, and once the construction plane is reset again, everything should fall in place. No?

Is this possible with MoI?

Indeed, this looks promising. The b-minor is that this software is looking for straight lines to find the angles. I will have to try how good this works for more natural objects.

I don't think it will be possible to do that process in MoI, sorry.

I mean it is possible to tilt the construction plane and when you do that any already placed background images will not move but that whole process will be very difficult to manage I think, it will be very easy for example if you're working the 3D view to rotate the view around so that the image isn't planar to the view direction anymore.

The background image mechanism in MoI is meant more for bringing in plan view pictures to trace over, not slanted perspective shots like you've got in this case.
