Michael:We have waited so long this blend upgrade.. :)

Take a look at this example:i think new improvement will not able to blend A-B-C-D- edges in one time
this because four surfaces are separate to each other,right? If not,we could be able to solve Futagoza's puzzle ! :)

Hi Mauro, Blend will still remain a two-sided surface construction, what you are showing there is a 4-sided construction so no that is not covered by what I was describing.

In the future I would like to try and update Network to have continuity controls to cover the case that you are showing there.

I posted a "limit-case" ;)
If we need just to fill a hole,like in this case,we can use -NSIDED-, or select ABCD edges and choose NETWORK, or select AB like sections and CD like rails and do the SWEEP
all three solutions will make a patch...... without a continuity,this means that if you do a close-up you can see the seam
Different situation if we want to have a continuity of curvature (G2) between the new surface and,at least,BCD surfaces
This is an high-end feature that maybe only ultra-expensive modelers can handle,often called also CLASS-A surfaces (a typical case where this feature is required is car-modeling for manifacturing)
Actually, in MOI,we have just BLEND that allow a continuity choice,now improved with multi-chained edges
if in future we will also have a continuity choice in NETWORK we will able to make cars much more better

I just don't know which kind of curvature can handle -NSIDED- tool

Avoiding misunderstandings i cleary speaked about G-2 why? Because it's only option that gives a perfect junction between two surfaces
This means(one more time)that you can't see seams or artifacts in junction area...it's perfectly smooth(continuity of curvature)

That time,Michael well noticed seams at first close-up and speaked about not perfect junction
I know..NSIDED can handle my " limit-example" but also give a not perfectly smoothed surface

It defenetly use some kind of tangency I assume that it is G1 but Michael knows better.
And in not very complex situation like yours I think it can produce good result.

Sure it produce good results !! :)
It always depend what you want...in advanced modeling usually G1 is not enough
i have read here from an user in the past:Apple wants just G2 filleting in their stuff...(take a look at the edges of I-Phone )
..or imagine to model a car with lot of patches that need to join together without seams ;)
Let Michael to say something,if he's not too busy :)

In all my organic tutorials I used G1, because G2 some times produce kinked result and as I can see it all looks good.
All I get from my experience is that G-0 (circular fillet) is look very digital, G-1 more organic, G-2 Super organic. But in most cases G1 is enough.

Yes..sometime G2 could be "too tight" and give unwanted results
Now you can understand better my car-fender video (you asked me ;) )
My target was to have a G2 junction between fender and car-body
I've extracted curves from G2 blend surface
modified points of extracted curves withouth touching G2 points close to the body-car
sweeping all to get a fender that have sections with G2 continuity
at the end of the video you can see i did a close-up showing a perfect junction (G2-based)

Circular fillets are G1 continuity or they should be. G0 is basically when two curves or surfaces just touch each other with no continuity.

I name G-0 just arbitrarily, in MOI its name is - Circular. So it looks like my mistake..

But it's the only mistake I made.

Well....everything you show after G1 is incorrect G2 and G3 are curvature continuous and are useless when used with straight curves or planar surfaces.
The video I posted above explains it very well.

Try it your self, and you will get the same result as mine.

I changed G0 to Circular.

All other continuity was taken from MOI filet function like in first screen.
