Hi Nikola, those buttons at the bottom of the Options dialog are <moi:PushButton> elements, in moi.css search for PushButton to find the section that has their styling in it. The push button element is a templated element which means it expands to have some additional HTML tags inside of it, the inside HTML is defined by the file PushButton.htm that's in the same ui folder as moi.css . It basically just has a nested div element inside of it that has the border decorations on the nested div, so it's a little easier to have some padding around the border.

If you want to adjust the text color of those elements, go to the moi\:PushButton { } rule in moi.css and inside that rule add a color: property like color:black; to set a different text color for push buttons.

Hope this helps!

Hi Michael,

Thanx for your help I found and changed it.Here is my suggestion for that buttons.What do you think?Or maybe I should continue with bluish and gray shades.
It looks nice and it is visible to the viewer.I will keep experimenting with colors.Maybe I will try with gray gradient shades.Thanx again for you quick reply.

Best Regards from Nikola

Michael... now if we could place a bitmap in the background, my MoI would take on a campy but oh so 'coool' theme.

;-)

It kind of looks a bit like one of the video games I used to play on my Commodore 64 a million years ago... :) You should just go with whatever you like best!

Hi Mike,

> Michael... now if we could place a bitmap in the background, my MoI would take on a campy but oh so 'coool' theme.

You can do that - copy your image into the \ui folder, then you can apply it as a background image to any element by using this css:

code:
background-image:url(moi://ui/icee-964891.jpg);

So for example inside of Options.htm right before the end of the <style></style> section, put in:

code:
     <html>
          <head>
                <style>
                        .........

			body {
				background-image:url(moi://ui/icee-964891.jpg);
			}
                </style>

         ......

And that will make an options dialog that looks like this:

Oh... The wheels are a turnin'! =-)

Thanks. I might first try a textured pattern to give the UI a tactile feel.

It might just be my old eyes, but I find the orange buttons that have graduated brightness are quite difficult for me to read. The blue calculator buttons are much clearer. Overall, I really like what you've done.

Hi,

I will put today this version with orange and blue combination.But also I will create with blue gradients as you asked in your post,if the orange gradients still distracts your eyes.I'v got used to css coding from moi,so I can now easily change and find what I need.

Regards from Nikola

Does this sort of customisation is previewed in the future versions of Moi, or it's just a sort "plugin" ?

Hi Michael,

I almost finished my moi3d customization.I have only unsolved the elements on screenshot.It is the last piece of the puzzle.When I fix that I will post my css file on forum.I must admit when changing codes I accidentally erased this sign "}" and moi crashed.I was pretty scarred,but I'v quickly found the error and fixed it.Thanx in advance for your reply.

Kind regards Nikola

Hi Nikola, that menu that you are showing there comes from the file StyleMenu.htm , and if you look in there you'll see on the body tag it has: <body class="MenuBodyDark"> so to adjust the gray color on some flyout menus like that you would edit the background-color attribute on the MenuBodyDark class inside of moi.css, it's near the top of the moi.css file.

Hello Michael!

First of all I would like to thank you for this awesome software that you have developed over the years! It truly gives a different and unique experience in 3D modeling! :)

So, since I saw many customers are able to modify the UI elements of the MOI, I was wondering is there a way I can incert a line of code and get a Viewport color gradient effect?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Edd, I'm glad that you are liking MoI!

re:
> I was wondering is there a way I can incert a line of code and get a Viewport color gradient effect?

Unfortunately, sorry no there isn't any way to modify that particular thing - the viewports are drawn using a separate mechanism from the other parts of the GUI like the toolbars and buttons, the viewports are not controlled by HTML and CSS like those other areas are.

You can change the solid background color of the viewports but there isn't any way to add a gradient effect instead.
