Rebuild Curve Minimum

Hi,

The rebuild tool reduces the number of point to a minimum number of 3, at two it becomes a straight line.

However at three the result is a 5 point curve, it might be interesting to have a simpler 3 point one like the 3rd curve.

Thanks,

Marc

It is how it works) Nothing special) Your curve could be easily build with 3 points. What can be build with 3 points can be build with 5)

Hi Marc, the number of points that you specify in Rebuild is actually the number of sample points that are used for the interpolation process, then the interpolation itself ends up using one additional control point on each end because of how it preserves the start and end tangent directions of the original curve.

If it were to work with making only one single interior point like you're describing, that would then not be able to preserve the tangents like it is currently doing.
