A few days ago I was facing some fillet trouble in MoI. I didnt want to spend to much time troubleshooting the model (how lazy !), so I decide to give fusion360 a try.

First, my version was not up to date ... upgrading (a couple of minutes)
Then, when I finally find how open the application from the dashboard (...), I spend 5 minutes in the interface to find a way to import a model ... and well, you can't ...

Google-ling few sec ... you first have to upload the model on the stupid cloud !

It takes me another 5 minutes to upload the .STP file ... and I have to wait a little bit more for some validation/refresh process. (This part was long enough to make me upload the model a second time :P)

Finally the model was available ... to discover that 360 didn't want to fillet the trouble area either :P

So at the end I spend more than 20 min for something that should take a snap in any other application (File/ Import) ... but hey, the cloud is the future, we all sharing our work
with 10 other friends, it's sooooo cool !

Back to MoI I receive 2 mails from AD, telling me my uploads are ready on my dashboard !

... I just hate it, even as a free app ! ... the fact 'they' now own t-spline is killing me :'(

Great Pilou, thanx for information, updatig! Looks like it good news!
Just want to ask somebody here who works with fusion, is it possible to leav sculpt mode and then return to it and continue to work with sculpted model?

Curious question! :)

As you have historic on anything, i don't see any problem to make that you want and pass on any sections of modeling! ;)

Or maybe I don't understand the question :)

For example I made object in sculpting mode. Than I decide to go to model mode and make some solid object. Than I want back to sculpt mode and continue to modify my object. How to make it?

Each different part of object you modelise has a different automatic name in the tree, so you can access at any of them at any time! ;)
In different modes!

Seems you have not understood the power of the history line! ;)
And yes in this program there are different sections of Modeling for create objects following the method of creation!

And if you want also this sphere or/and or the Box BRep in Sculpt Mode just convert them -->to TSPline! etc..

In Model /Create/Create Form : a new icon form is created on the History line
so you can have again the Sculpt Mode and access Modify / Convert and Select the Sphere or / and the Box !
You can make a selection multiple by rectangle selection for avoid to click on each object! ;

This image above is the result of the BRep Objects selection!
So you can have any number of objects in The Scupt Mode (and the tree )

Double click on the Icon form on the History line for enter in the Sculpt Mode
Each mode has its own tree!

Thanks for the update Pilou.

I didn't realize Fusion 360 had CAM features built in - I'll have to investigate it for my machining projects.

The site says the design does not even need to originate in Fusion. That could open a lot of possibilities.

I would just hate to add another software subscription to my budget though :(

Hi everyone,

After testing more deeply T-Spline within Fusion 360, I decided to include it into my current workflow,
when I need to convert Low Poly Quads into Nurbs object.

I will use "convert" feature of T-Spline, inside the "Sculpt" room in Fusion, in order to obtain a Nurbs object,
with a fewer number of patches compared to what we can actually get with (always very good) Max's SubDiv.

Nice day,

- Marco (mkdm)

I have to say that I'm starting to appreciate Fusion too.
It's extremely powerful to have Tspline (SDS Modeling) and Nurbs working together in one environment.

Wish we could exchange data between MoI and Fusion using clipboard copy/paste :)
