Amazing detail Krass. You must have some very good photos or blueprints to work from.

Ed, Thank you for the appreciation of my work!
I do use the complete package of real blueprints.
With great difficulty he found. But - found! ))
In addition, I also use a lot of photos of the real locomotive, taken from different angles.

A larger view of the whole mechanics.
The picture is better to look in the full-size

Denis, thank you very much for your feedback!
In fact, I'm not doing anything unusual - just modeling on the exact drawings.

Thus, the lower part of the locomotive is almost complete, remained a dozen parts.
He gathered all modeled in a single file.
The file weighs 288 megabytes and is already beginning to slow down MOI3D.
Although Keyshot this big file "grinds" without any problems...

Hi krass, it's looking great! For a high density file one thing that can help is to adjust the display mesh density to be looser so that you will have fewer triangles generated for the shaded display mesh.

To do that, go to Options > View > "Meshing parameters", and set "Mesh angle" to 25 degrees and uncheck "Add detail to inflections". That may help to speed up your display.

Also one of the new things for MoI v3 is that it can use multiple threads for the display engine to help speed up the display too.
