Not MoI specific, but 1.2 with the Presto GPU engine and other nifty stuff was released today. The BSD GPU engine gives very quick results and the MC takes a bit longer but gives superior output. Great companion for MoI in my experience.
I agree, I've just started to play with it, but it's a fabulous release. The speed is amazing even on modest hardware. Attached image shows what you can get in mere seconds on the GPU, though I'll qualify that with it's dependent on the scene of course. This particular model is not mine but donated generously on the blender forums, though I can't remember by whom. The CPU is a Intel Q9505 quad core the GPU is a Gtx 460. Though it's not a MoI model, Thea and MoI play very well together.
Yes it does. That's one of the reasons I bought them both at the time. This is the very first test I did of a media player I had at the time. What I will say about Ngons is that you have to pay attention to how you model because sometimes it's not always clean when imported into Thea. I've found on certain models, what looked great in MoI didn't import so well, so I've had to tweak the model and play with export settings.
