Hello,

Its possible that Explodemove script consider Styles instead of objects?

Thanks.

Hi Carlos, I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand... ExplodeMove works by moving objects around, it just moves them in a radial manner out from a common center point - you can't really "move" a style, it's a kind of organizing method not itself geometry to be moved.

Could you maybe explain in a little bit more detail what you're trying to do maybe showing some examples?

So like a model that consists of just 2 large solids, but several surfaces are clustered with "styles", You would have to seperate the 2 solids to do an explode mode, but you would want the styles to "stay together" as opposed to 120 little surface all exploded from the center...... I think.

It will only "totally explode" it into individual surface pieces if you've only got one single object selected when you run it - if you've got more than one object selected those objects stay whole and each whole object moves from the common center point instead.

If you've got a multi-style object you could separate things into style chunks (right click on each style and use Edit > Separate) to break them into their own objects, then when doing explodemove with all those objects selected that should work.

Hi Michael and Burrman,

Thanks for your reply. In attach is an image which try to explain what i'm after.

1. 4 solids in 3 Styles
2. After ExplodeMove (the 4 independent solids "explode")
3. What i would like, that ExplodeMove take Styles in account, and the Cylinder and Box stay "together".

Imagine that Style will "group" together every independent solids and just "explode" the Styles between themselfs.

Sorry my english. Thanks.

Carlos

Hi Carlos, I'm sorry but there's no way currently for ExplodeMove to work like that, maybe that could be possible in the future when groups are added where you could tell MoI which objects should be moved as one unit together by making a group out of them.

Currently in order to get what you show there you would need to move the objects into position yourself instead of using ExplodeMove.
