I was asked to model a nerf gun and got carried away. I spent the better amount of time measuring the gun (my sons) to get the details right. There are a few things missing still though (some text for one) I would have to say there is a lot of detail on toys. Exported with OBJ and rendered with Vray.

Cheers,

Val

Hey Val, nice result.

""""""""""I spent the better amount of time measuring the gun (my sons) to get the details right.""""""""""""

Yeah, that always gets me too. Although, if you sat down to just make your own, it would go pretty quick. There are variables like "even the temperature where the plastic gun is located will change those measurments".

I ALWAYS get too carried away and make it painful! :)

Micheal, Mike, thanks.

Burrman, "even the temperature where the plastic gun is located will change those measurments" Ha! how true. Sadly, I was thinking of doing the interior to scale as well But I don't think my son would be too happy with me dissembling his toy. "I ALWAYS get too carried away and make it painful!" I think I might fixate a bit too much :)

Cheers

Stevecim, Frenchy Pilou, Danny, Mer,

thanks, Made one in milk for fun, Just seeing how the file responds to SSS materials as it isn't welded together and thus not water tight. seems to work just fine i think.
