I have problem with import of some STEP files.

Some of STEP files are importable without problems (modelled by Solid Works or downloaded from web vendors) but some of them I cannot import to Moi, it appears nothing after import.

It is attached two files.

1) file was modelled and then exported by Solid Edge (SE in file name).
2) STEP from Solid Edge was imported into SolidWorks a reexport as STEP (SW in file name).

Other CAD sw import these files normally, Moi has problem with these files.

Any ideas where could be problem?

Hi Mik, both of those files seem to come in ok using the current v3 beta, you can get the current v3 beta here: http://moi3d.com/beta.htm

Most likely it's a bug in the STEP import libraries that MoI uses for reading the STEP file, but one that has been fixed with a newer version of those libraries that is being used by the v3 beta.

Probably the difference has to do with some extended characters (accented characters) in the object names, that seems to be different between the 2 files and I kind of vaguely remember some bug in processing unicode text in a previous version of the import libraries.

MoI v3 beta imports all STEPs without any problem.
