Top idea Shane! At the moment I create a planar surface and project to that.

Hi Michael, I think using the current viewports cplane z direction would defiantly be less steps and more productive. I kept the direction in my first post because it may be more logical following the same steps as projecting to an object. It would be great to have either way.

Also maybe I'll add in a "Delete input objects" option as well, since if you're projecting something that's only a little distance off from planar it can be difficult to visually see the difference between the original and the just projected one.

So that could work like this:



Then if you push "Use CPlane" button, it would use the Top, Front, or Right sides (set by the dropdown next to it) of the current cplane as the projection direction and finish right away.
