Hi mir4ea, the easiest way is to use the Transform > Move command.

Select your object, run Transform > Move, the move command then takes 2 points, a base point and a target point. Pick the base point on the spot on the object that you want to locate at 0,0,0 - in the most recent v3 beta there is also now a "Bounding box center" button that you can click to pick the object's bounding box center as the base point.

Then the second step is to pick the target point where you want to move to - that's when you want to pick the 0,0,0 origin point. You can do that by clicking it with the mouse or you can also type in 0 and push enter, just typing 0 and enter is a shortcut for entering 0,0,0.

If you need to do this a lot there is also a plug-in that you can install and set on a keyboard shortcut:
