I'm currently making a lot of 2D patterns (or tilings) in MoI 3D and I'm looking for more inspiration.

Does anyone have/know good books about patterns ? (but traditional ones, medieval, asian, japanese, indian and so on)

I'm looking into patterns on textiles also (maybe kimonos, or armors) and architecture (tiles, mosaics)

I'm searching for reference books or for specific websites.

I will share my tips and tricks regarding pattern creation in MoI 3D as a reward :)

In Hawaii, they used to pattern design the cloth they made thats called "Tapa".

So, google for:

Tapa Designs

Also, the tongan and samoan tattoos are very destinctive patterns. Leave the word "tattoo" out of the search:
