Yes I am running version 2 because notebook it is not mine… (my wife…) and I am really scared when installing/uninstalling some software under Windows…
I gave up. I like best to use MoI under OSX; less troubles; I hope…
However both files didn't work (the older and the younger). I feel there is some problem about interpreter files in Windows.
Thank you

Hi Fabri,

If I remember right, both of those (the older and the younger) require MoI v3 in order to run, you just won't be able to run them using v2.

There isn't really any reason to be scared of installing the v3 beta, I mean it's just a newer version of MoI with more stuff in it, if you're using v2 it just means you're using old stuff...

"""""and I am really scared when installing/uninstalling some software under Windows…""""""

The install is pretty much "standalone", which means it doesn't require anything special about windows. It will install in pretty much 6 seconds.

Just go for it!

Wrote this script for myself. It's a rewritten version of the Martin's script.

Hi Max,

thanks for sharing, very handy.

Do you plan in future to add into script countersunk head for different screwdrivers ( hex, torx, PH1, PH2)?

Mik

Excellent script Max, written by a true scripting master. I'm impressed by the preview possibility and the speed. Very useful. Thanks.

Tremendous script!

I'm having a problem with the very first running of the script, either with ShortcutKey, or Ext. Script.
Here is the first result:

Selecting another size then works fine.
Is there some setting to change?

Hi Brian, it's looks like a decimal separator problem. I never used decimal numbers as default values in my scripts before. So I didn't knew about this problem.
I'll fix it today evening.

Thanks Max

A bit over my head but:
So it is something to do with regional settings, ...culture settings, ...locale settings...
...Parsing numbers with a comma decimal separator in JavaScript...
My Moi .ini file has Distance Display = Decimal under [units].
(I recently read of such a "bug," in Geomagic Design I think, which was corrected.)

confirmed.....

If you ever get into this again, an "enhancement request" would be a metric/imperial radio selection to limit the options container to one or the other.... Obviously not something "wrong", just a suggestion.

Thanks again Max for sharing...

This is brilliant!! Many thanks to Max.

How feasible is a Gear, Spring or bearing script? I think there is already a gear script out there but to have things like different tooth profiles and and bevel options and other related options would be something else. Something like this but for MOI - http://geargenerator.com

BTW I admire your generosity to the forum, but i can appreciate that this must take up considerable time. I personally would pay $10 - 20 for these highly developed scripts

Matt
