Hi Moritz,

I'm not sure how it would be possible to do only for .3dm files, because MoI doesn't know whether you want to open a 3DM file in particular until _after_ you've already picked the file in the file dialog.

That's because the file open command MoI allows for opening several kinds of files, not just only 3DM files...

Do you mean something like make it pay attention to when you switch the "File type" dropdown and shift to different directories when you switch that between 3DM or other file types? That would probably require some kind of fairly elaborate customization of the file dialog...

I could do something where you could set the default location for the entire "Open" command, would that work?

Hi Moritz,

: But this works only until a new start of Windows

I think it's supposed to work past a new start of Windows too - over here it does that fine, I've tested rebooting a few times and over here Windows still remembers the last File open dialog location and sets MoI's open dialog to there.

This is with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

That information is stored by Windows in the system registry - do you possibly have any kind of special "registry cleaner" or special privacy filter applications running which might be intentionally discarding that information between reboots automatically for you?

Hi Michael,

thanks for your help.

I've found an easy way managing my MOI-Files.

The only thing I have to do is to create a new library:

Nevertheless - your MoI is an outstanding program!

Greetings from Frankfurt / Germany
