Is there a script to measure the angle between two lines? All  1-2  3-13

5390.3 In reply to 5390.1 Hi Brian, I've attached a plug-in command that can be used to measure angles. Unzip and copy both files into the \commands folder and then there should be a new command named Angle available that you can set on a keyboard shortcut (I knew you know that, just mentioning for anyone else....) I've only really quickly whipped it together so it probably should be tested a bit to make sure it works ok. - Michael Attachments:

5390.4 In reply to 5390.3 Thank you Michael. That was quick. (I was thinking some of the math from Bisector script would be relevant...) Edit: Looks like it can do complementary angles too, with heel to toe lines selection. EDITED: 12 Sep 2012 by BEMFARMER

And the beauty of the thing is that you can only take 4 points of anything :) Not only from lines! ;) --- Pilou Is beautiful that please without concept! My Gallery

Usually I just draw an arc to see the angle.

5390.10 In reply to 5390.9 Lines are not necessary on the same plan so Arc maybe not directly efficient without some Helper lines !

This is, and has been, a great script. Yesterday and today I spent considerable time trying to figure out why a math formula applied to angle A would not achieve the correct angle B. I forgot that the Angle script reports in degrees. Serendipitously, another problem was solved, via the extended DeMoivres formula, nth roots of unity. (Fractional exponents of complex numbers, require an extended formula.) So improvements to Angle script would be to display label "degrees", as well as option to display "radians", kind of like circle display of "diam" vs "radius". (I'll put it on my ToDo someday list:-) - Brian

The dimension script has an angle option cheers shayne

You can also use the Bottom numeric Box ;) A simple line (that you don't draw) + Helper Lines give you all the angles of something drawn you want! EDITED: 28 Jul 2019 by PILOU
