Howdy all,

With the sweep function - I noticed that you can edit the rail and the sweep will automatically update - other times, however, it doesn't...Am I missing something?

It happens here too Rich, I just thought it was something to do with history settings but never bothered to look, i like it at times but at others it's a pain, but i will follow this thread with interest.

Does this have to do with how "history" works?

Hi Rich, can you post an example of one where it is not working for you?

It is an elaborate sweep that generates a result in multiple separate pieces? Right now the history mechanism will not work with a sweep where more than one different object is generated as the result, but that should only happen on pretty fancy things like when you've got the paths swooping around in 3D with sharp corners in the path as well.

Hi Brian,

> Does this have to do with how "history" works?

It does - the history function right now is limited to work with commands that produce just one output object, if there were multiple output objects generated from a single command that will not be handled currently by history updates. That is something that I want to improve in the future, but I may undertake a more significant history overhaul rather than trying to just patch up the current mechanism much more.

I think that answers my question thanks Michael. The geometry is indeed one in which there were 2 objects created - if I rework the sweep the history is maintained which works for me!
