Only 2-3 more beta's before release, that's great news. Time to start working on the fun stuff like documentation, and a user guide with a few tutorials illustrating all the tools in action ;).... Here is a couple of simple icons for you to use if you want, just added a little polish to what you had already, a great program deserves a good icon.

The desktop image is my latest MoI work, it's a motion compensation joint to allow floating drilling vessels to compensate for sea conditions(heave).

Keep up the good work, the finish line is closer than it may appear hahahah

Wow, your putting some thought into this ;) It's actually a hydraulic actuating cylinder retained in the body cavity by the bolt pattern used to store the outer tension ring assembly in a profile when not in use. The twelve yoke assemblies actually have wire hydraulic tensioning assemblies connected to them for a total uplift capacity of 1,900,000 lbs force. The bulk of the unit is coated with a three part marine epoxy paint system and the cylinders you pointed out are coated with xylan to inhibit corrosion but is now being coated with sermagard as it has better UV resistance.

Hi Grendel, thanks for the cool new icons!

The one difficult thing about the icon is that there also needs to be a teeny-tiny 16x16 version of the icon as well, which is used on the task bar and also shows up in the title bar of an unmaximized window.

So that's one reason for the rather basic icon right now, because the same image makes a pretty legible tiny 16x16 image.

I guess I could have a different style image for the larger icon versus the tiny one.... I'm not quite sure about that though.

- Michael

I don't know what you use to create an icon, but there is a nice app which comes from Czech Republic - http://www.rw-designer.com It has even NURBS (http://www.rw-designer.com/NURBS) tools for making stuff! :) ...and there is some library of free icons as well - for example a bulb... -Petr

It's saved in 16x16,24x24,48x48 i looked at the 16 I can add a dark border to help it stand out some more.

I used alphaicon creator, it's free and works pretty good, but I'll check out the other as well.

Hmm... the light bulb is cool, but didnt Michael say it leans more towards Moai (the Easter Island heads) rather than the French "moi" (me). How about a glowing Easter Island dude? :) Hehehe, he is inspired no?
