Magic,

I've been using MoI since the second or third V1 beta, back in 2006, but everytime I read one of your tutorials I discover new tips and tricks or different techniques.
Great work. Keep up producing such great tutorials !

Greetings from another belgian guy ! ;-)

Every couple of months I've learned a bit more about the nature of NURBS / solids modeling — after years of poly subdivision work — and every time I return to your tutorials and understand your creative workflow better, Mike. I am in awe. Much respect to you.

By now I'm ready to experiment with the network function. Previously I created a lot of curve cages that wouldn't network, but now I understand that Network needs some kind of polar structure. Thanks a lot for sharing your valuable knowledge.

Thank you Metin!!!!! :-)

It's amazing to me how math can so beautifully define objects in the real world, whether it be natural or industrial.
And even so much more amazing is how simple it is to manipulate those shapes - thanks to Moi.

I think we're due for a great new tutorial in a few months. ;-)

I totally agree, Mike, both with the beauty of math and the beauty of MoI.

Looking eagerly forward to your next tutorial!

Hello, i hope all is well.
I thought i'd give this tutorial a shot.

I am currently stuck at the network stage. After creating the profiles and running the network command,
the calculation fails. Can you please help? What could be wrong?

I look forward to your help : )
Cheers.

Sandeep.

Hi SanSingh.

I downloaded your 3DM file and for what I briefly checked I think that the main problem are the Red and Blue curves.
1) The red curve is a single curve made by two segments not well joined.
2) And, furthermore, even the blue curve is one single closed curve.

As you can see in the video I have simply deleted the red curve and I trimmed the blue curve.
Then I selected ALL and performed the Network command.

Hope this can help :)

Here's a video capture of Moi's screen : http://take.ms/B69p6

Hello, you are absolutely right!!!

So i guess i didn't need to select the red curve when running the network command and
i needed to split the blue curve into two.... Wow, i would have never figured it out.

Thank you so much. I really do appreciate your help and quick feedback.
Thank you thank you! Have a blessed day!

Sandeep.

Marco,

<<Marco (mkdm)>> Here's a video capture of Moi's screen : http://take.ms/B69p6

Where did you get that command history panel?
Is it generally available?

Thanks,

Hi Mindset!

> You wrote : "Where did you get that command history panel? Is it generally available?"

No. It's my very personal version of Moi :)
It's made by some personal scripts and UI Personalization that I did some times ago.

It contains also a very useful command search engine window, wrote by me (I was inspired by some great script written by Max Smirnov and others)

If I will have the chance to clean its code a bit and I will have some spare time I think I will upload my whole Moi's App folder.

It will be my gift to the community!

See you.
