More ways to select polygons or form, or just lines in 2d, or 3d forms

I'm currently using the demo od Moi3d, and I love this software for his ergonomic, and fast results. But as I model some watches in 3d, I need more control over part around, the lock is perfect the color layer are ok but when I do some array (circle array) I really need a way to select the parts that I have done (a la modo, with arrows etc can be really cool).

Its really time consuming when you do a sec on track of a watch and you need to delete so much repeated objects.

What do you think about it ?

Hi Nicolas, you mean you want to select the objects that were just generated from the result of an array command?

You can get that done by setting up a shortcut key with the script on it from here:
http://kyticka.webzdarma.cz/3d/moi/#SelectLastCommandCreated

Paste in that script for "SelectLastCommandCreated" into the command part of the shortcut key and then when you push that key the new objects that were generated by the last executed command will become selected.

That works with the output of any command, and after you have done an array it will select the objects that the array just created.

There are also a variety of other selection scripts that you can find there: http://kyticka.webzdarma.cz/3d/moi/ , and also see this previous post for some links to other selection techniques the different options with using the selection window mechanism: http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=5118.10

Also if you want to select all objects of a certain kind, like all curves, you can do that by going to the "Types" section of the scene browser - the different controls for show/hide/select/lock in there will target all objects of a particular object type.

The other sections in the Scene Browser target objects organized by name, or by style.

You can use the array tool so you dont have to have repeated objects...

Hi Shayno,
I used camtasia studio for that last one.. The size will vary for the output you choose.. For that last one, I rendered for HD 720 and the file was 1.36 mb. I could probably make an animated gif that was in the low kilobytes. Camtasia makes a free one.

Should I make a video on making the video??? >:o (I feel a time, wormhole continuum comming on)
