This seemed like the lazier way to do what I was trying for: scanning the back surface of a skateboard so I have a height reference to place paths on for v-carving. I only scanned at .5" intervals, so it isn't a huge number of points - less than 100 I think.

Hi thom_thom - that should be feasible. Sometimes with laser scanners it gets up into the millions of points level and that's a pretty different kind of thing.
