Anybody now if there's a SpacePilot Pro plugin doda for the LCD display for MoI?

If not there's a SDK from 3dConnexion, so (@Michael really) is there a way of poking MoI to enable me to have a tinkering at producing one?

Cheers.
Gav.

I'm not aware of anything like that.

What is it exactly that you want to do? You want MoI to display stuff on the LCD?

I think right now the main way to use extended functions from one of those devices is to use the 3dConnexion driver so that it will send a keyboard shortcut to MoI when you use one of the buttons on the device. Then in MoI you can set up keyboard shortcuts for different commands that you want to trigger.

Hi Gav,

I have a Spacepilot pro running with MoI, what is it that you want displayed on the Spacepilot screen, I hardly use it, I find it a bit of a gimmick, I know with Solidworks and NX it displays information like file name and path, volume of part, weight (once you've assigned the density that is) and material I think.
Even if you do get MoI info displayed on the screen I don't think Michael has any of that information available at this stage, I know it's on the todo list though.
I just use the screen as feedback when I push a shortcut button or have the pictures from my computer display as a slide show, other than that I find it
pretty useless.

Thanks for the replies guys.
It's kinda what I thought on all counts.

I currently use a SpaceExplorer and had an offer of a cheap(ish) stepup to the SpacePilot Pro. Obviously, already having a 3d Mouse, I was looking for what extra I could do with it beyond the handful of extra buittons. The LCD is potentially interesting, but I too had thoughts of 'useless' and 'gimmick' floating around in my head :-)

I think I'll stay put :-)

Cheers.
Gav.
