Save and Recall 3D views(for line rendering)

In my current project it is crucial to have constant angles/rotation, zoom on the 3d camera across the objects being rendered.

I wonder if its possible save the current view port configuration and then recall it when the need arises?

Thanks,
Ambimind

I dont think there is a viewport mechanism to save views yet, but you can create views with a script. So if you can preset your views with the script, you can return to it anytime.

Thanks BurrMan, There might not be a way to save the views, but is there away that I can retrieve the current values, say to the clipboard - which I can then use for view creation?

Hi Ambimind,
Here is a script set Michael made that will create a "view stack" that can be cycled through in order. (No management of order)

Maybe he can recall and link to the thread that these relate to, I cant. (If he gets the link, I will delete this attachment here)

So to operate it, navigate to view, then "SaveView", then rinse, lather and repeat. Then "RestoreView" will cycle through the stack. ClearView obviously to start over.

[for script, see link below]

Hi Burr, I think the original message for that is here:

This saved view mechanism will not persist into the 3DM file though, it's only saved for the current program session.
