Hi Ed,

That all looks great, Well done!!
I do know how hard it is to get those Materials looking just right...I played with HyperShot 1.7
So my only crit would be that presently the Ruby looks more like a Garnet.

Yes - The glints were added in After Effects as well as a lens blur map.

You can see the stones come into focus as they rotate to the front.

Yep, I had made the ruby more transparent and a lighter shade of red so it would look proper when the stone was set flush in a ring and only receiving light from the front.

Now with the bare stone in the animation receiving light from the back as well as the front, the color and transparency are off.
