Hello Michael,

mmhh, this is very strange...I tried a second example and it behaves the same. As you can see on my screenshots in my beta 3 in comes in as closed curves, while in my beta 2.5 it comes in as curves only. But no big problem, since "Join" works after importing. Maybe i have a little ghost in my machine?!

Best regards
Stefan

Hi Stefan, so now that I stop and think about it and double check, I can remember now that there was an update to the STEP/IGES/SAT import/export library between those versions.

The 2.5 release has the newer library, I'm not sure if the change in behavior was intentional or not, I'll try to take a look.

Hi Stefan - re: difference in IGES import behavior from OSX 2.5 beta from the first OSX beta -

After much confusion on my part, I've got that fixed up now for the next beta.

There was actually a bug that was having a side effect of enabling your sphere.iges curves to come in as closed curves, and then when the bug was fixed that behavior went away. But I found out how to configure things so that the closed curve import will be enabled again for the next beta without it being just a side effect from a bug.
