Hi Spike - those are the object's edge curves - they're one of the pieces that a model is constructed out of.

Normally the color of the edges is controlled by the style that they are assigned to, so if you select that object and assign a style to it, the object will be colored by that style including all of its edges as well.

So that's one way to change their color. There is also an option to override that behavior and instead make all edges have a specific color of your choice, that's a setting under Options > View > Edge color:

Change that setting to "Fixed color", and then a color swatch will appear next to it and you can click on it to set the color you want.

I guess I'de want to be sure he is seeing what he should be seeing too. He did say "THICK black outlines"???

Maybe his display is not looking correct or something?

This would distract me too:

Although, if they are just normal edges, he should investigate and realize they will be vital to his construction.

Thanks guy's.
Was able to change the color - much nicer to my eye as a mid grey rather than the solid black.
Can't find any way to change the line width. Maybe a Mac thing. Maybe a me thing:)

I realize that they are very important to any construction - I've worked for years with the now defunct Electric Image's Solid Modeler.
I guess you just get used to the way things are displayed in a program you use a lot.
