Hi Michael,

first: Real object names.
is there any option to export step objects with its real name?
Left side is exported from Rhino, right side is exported from MoI, both as FBX in SI.

second: Flipping part 2. I dont know if its a MoI bug....

The command "flip" is not working with this object.

Left one is exported with "N-gone" (bad), right one is exported with "Quads & Triangles" (good).

Object names are not currently exported to FBX format, I do want to tune that up in the future though.

But object names are exported to OBJ or LWO formats, and OBJ format should work well for going into SoftImage - try exporting out of MoI using OBJ format rather than FBX.

Looks like probably a bug in SI's n-gon triangulation - in order to display an n-gon it still has to be converted into triangles and it looks like SI's triangulation mechanism did not process that one n-gon very well. That's not too unusual for there to be occasional n-gon triangulation problems in rendering programs.

If you see a proper result when you export using quads & triangles out from MoI, then that means that you're using MoI's triangulation mechanism instead.
