thanks Michael!

Um, I should have stated the problems I was having was due to me not being familiar with the tools.
When I wanted to get circuits, or lines that conformed to the surface of the train,
I used the technique of boolean difference from the surface of the train, copied the resulting lines and then undo the boolean.
then past the lines back into the project.
Then I used the loft and sweep tools to create a solid object to create the windows.
It took me a few tries to get the loft and sweep tools to work "in my head".

Thats what I was saying....

Very pleasant experience thus far Michael!

Thanks
Mike Fitz

Well, I'm still pretty interested to hear about any kind of difficulties, regardless of where it originates from... :)

Sooner or later there should be a type of "create curves of intersection" command that would let you do this in a more straightforward way.
