You must have the drawing section of the seam: here a very tiny ellipse
make a Sweep seam along the lines
boolean diff between cube and the Sweep ;)
Then fillet the Edges
But not sure that Nurbs are for this nature of object but maybe I miss something :)

Hi Riko, a few links to some previous sofa discussions here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=3841.3

But yeah like Pilou shows you're probably going to want to make the section between each crease a different object and put in some kind of rounding between them.

Also that is kind of getting into the territory of the kind of model that can be better done with sub-d polygon modeling rather than NURBS modeling.

Yes indeed Michael, and even better with Voxels - but MoI is tool irresistible a tool not to try ;-)

In the case above, I drew the profile of three bulge sections with the freehand curve tool. Then I varied the scale of each progressive copy of the profile after arraying them. So the Lofted surface of the profiles makes for a useful shape.

Riko, If you wish to make complex and organic shapes like sofa cushions, they can often be created with careful thought using the Loft, Network or Blend commands...
And often combinations of each. The examples Michael provided are great ones to take a closer look at,
especially this cool retro looking one:
