A procedural animation is a visual and animated reproduction which is automatically generated from existing data.
The 3D visualization of simulated phenomena is much more explicit than curves or raw data.
Thanks to the « SimFonIA Animation Tools » (SAT), scientific data become integrated in living animations.

SAT is intended for engineers, designers, teachers, students, inventors, lecturers and researchers who want to support their communication with convincing and dynamic visual elements.

The work was done with the plugin "Simfonia Animation Tools".

preparation

Drawing of the Snake: 5 minutes (max)
Using the move command auto-repeat

Define the 24 groups (group) and place the 24 benchmarks group: 45 min
Markers positioned facilitate the management of events

Define a generic script: 15 minutes
The script performs the decoding of the sequence to the simulation time of angles
With us it is done in VHDL-AMS, but it can be done with EXCEL, MATLAB, C ...

Define association: 5 minutes
Our plugin allows each entity to define 3D
an association between a simulated value after a graphic file and an attribute
Here we make the rotation group driven angle values simulated

Generating animations

For each figure of the Snake: 2 minutes (max)
Simply import the sequence in the script and simulate
then run animation. The video is generated on the fly

The animation shown was produced by concatenating several sequences simulated.

One can make an export to the WebGL in one click.
Soon a site WebGL will be devoted to Snake.

This program is avaible! (English / French) (only with SKetchup and Windows )

The free version is for 10 objects and 10 seconds animation!
Yet sufficient for crazzy things! ;)

I have the 2 programs : Spread3d is really better ... more intuitive and easier for architect or designers ... maybe Simfonia is more engeneer oriented ... i'm sorry pilou cannot see Spread3d exemples on his old computer ... he will love it !,,,,

Yes it's a cool one too! Not exactly the same use but very ergonomic and powerfull ;)
The abilitie to make a stand alone is a very cool function!!! (even with the free)

Spread3d : Pilou, Ask for Laurent Diaz at the e-mail software support and you will have a free pro version for a while ... Pro version allow a lot more functions ... version 1.4 is arrived !.

For the moment possibilities of Animations are not the same than Simfonia :)
No Physics, no Deformation, no calc values, no body animation...

Shadows will arrive in january 2013 ... and lot of new stuff ...
